Michelle Inez is a video journalist and filmmaker from Hong Kong, with Chinese, Portuguese, British and Turkish heritage. 

She started her career as a journalist at The New York Times while studying abroad in Paris, France. After completing her undergraduate degree in Massachusetts, she moved to New York City, where she obtained a master's degree in Journalism at Columbia University. In 2018, she moved to California to cover local news and feature stories through video.  

She then found her way to London, where she worked as a Production Assistant on an investigative team at NBC before accepting a job as a Video Journalist at The Wall Street Journal. Four years later, Michelle is working on Sky News' Data & Forensics team, producing visual investigations through open-source reporting, writing and video journalism. She is also directing several self-funded films, including one about Hong Kong's underground music scene.
